PainDon-SP Tablet is a combination of three well-known drugs namely Aceclofenac Serratiopeptidase and Paracetamol or Acetaminophen. The drug is Manufactured For Gaphel Pharma in India. PainDon-SP is a prescription only medication and cannot be purchased without a prescription from a doctor. Doctors prescribe PainDon-SP primarily as relieving medicine for several medical conditions such as pain and inflammation in the joints.

Common Dosage of PainDon-SP:

It is recommended to take one or two tablets after the meal. It is better to consult a doctor for the appropriate dosage of PainDon-SP.

Missed Dose: If a dose of PainDon-SP is missed it is recommended to take the dose as soon as one remembers about the missed dose. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose. Do not double the dose of PainDon-SP. to make up for the missed one.

Overdose: It is advised to seek immediate medical attention in case of an overdose of PainDon-SP.

Composition and Nature of PainDon-SP:

PainDon-SP is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which is used to treat conditions such as a mild migraine, headache, musculoskeletal pain or painful menses and more.

One tablet of PainDon-SP comprises 100 mg Aceclofenac, 325 mg Acetaminophen / Paracetamol and 15 mg Serratiopeptidase (Enzymatic & Granules Coated Activity)

How to use PainDon-SP?

PainDon-SP can be taken with or without food. It is advisable to take the drug after consulting a doctor. Take it with a glass full of water. PainDon-SP should be taken at equal time intervals. Don’t double dose the drug.

How PainDon-SP Works?

PainDon-SP reduces pain and inflammation by blocking the release of certain chemicals / Neurons in the brain that produces signals of pain and inflammation in the nervous system. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that blocks pain and inflammation. Paracetamol is an antipyretic drug that prevents the brain from raising body temperature or causing fever . Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme that breaks down abnormal proteins at the site of inflammation and enables healing injury at the site of inflammation.

When is PainDon-SP Tablet Prescribed?

PainDon-SP is prescribed to treat the symptoms related to:

• Rheumatoid Arthritis: PainDon-SP Tablet is very effective to treat the symptoms stiffness of joints or swelling pain related to Rheumatoid Arthritis.
• Ankylosing Spondylitis: PainDon-SP Tablet is used to treat symptoms like stiffness and pain related to Ankylosing Spondylitis.
• Osteoarthritis: PainDon-SP is very effective in treating the symptoms like painful and tender joints associated with Osteoarthritis.
• Related Warnings/Precautions: When to Avoid PainDon-SP?
• PainDon-SP is not advisable for patients suffering from severe liver or kidney ailments.
• Taking PainDon-SP with alcohol can cause harmful consequences such as liver damage.
• PainDon-SP should be taken after meals and not on an empty stomach.
• PainDon-SP tablet should be swallowed whole with food.
• PainDon-SP should not be chewed or broken.
• PainDon-SP should not be taken on an empty stomach as it may cause acidity, heartburn, indigestion and other symptoms.

What precautions should be taken during Pregnancy and Nursing, and administering PainDon-SP to Children or the Older Adults?

Pregnant Women

Contraindicated or Not Recommended

Warning: PainDon-SP delays the start and increases the duration of labor with increased bleeding in both mother and baby. There are known risk of Paindon SP causing closure of the blood vessel connecting to the fetus and increased blood pressure in newborns. Therefore PainDon-SP should not be used during the 28th week of pregnancy, causing decreased uterine contraction.

Breastfeeding

Contraindicated or Not Recommended

Warning: There is very limited data available for PainDon-SP during breastfeeding. PainDon-SP has been shown to pass in breast milk. Therefore, it is not recommended in breastfeeding. But aceclofenac is used during breastfeeding if its possible benefit to the mother justifies the possible risk to the baby.

Younger Adults Population

Warning: It is advised to take care while using PainDon-SP alone or with other medicines in elderly patients with kidney, liver, heart disease or having other drugs. PainDon-SP can cause increased side effects in elderly patients like stomach bleeding and rupturing of the wall of the stomach or intestine which may be dangerous. PainDon-SP Tablet

PainDon-SP Tablet is used to relieve severe pain and swelling in joint stiffness, long-term inflamed joint, joint inflammation affecting the spine, pain or inflammation of ear, throat, or nose, dental pain, low back pain, and reproductive organs pain. It is a prescription medicine. This medicine works by blocking prostaglandin synthesis.

Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs

PainDon-SP belongs to a class of medicines called Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, also called as NSAIDs, help reduce fever, decrease pain, and prevent clotting of blood. NSAIDs also reduce inflammation in the body when used in higher doses.

How to use ?

Follow directions on the product label, information guide, and provided by your doctor before using PainDon-SP. Eat this medicine as per your doctor's instructions. Paindon SP is eaten with or after food. Paindon SP tablets should be taken with a sufficient amount of liquid. Paindon is eaten Paindon tablet should be taken two times a day, one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening.

Typical Dosage

* The typical adult dose of PainDon-SP is one dose of twice daily. The maximum dose for adults of PainDon-SP is 3000 mg / per day.
* PainDon-SP Tablet is to be used for longer periods of time.
* If you have issues with the health of your liver, The dose should be reduced in the patient with liver disease.
* Taking a high dose of this medicine is known to increase the chances of side-effects.


Use in Children

If you are giving PainDon-SP Tablet to a child, be sure to use a product that is meant for use in children. Before giving this medicine, use the child's weight or age to find the right dose from the leaflet or product package. Consult with your doctor if the product package does not provide specific information for children.

Avoid drinking alcohol with PainDon-SP Tablet.

Storage

Store PainDon-SP Tablet away from light. Keep this medicine away from children and pets. Medicines may be given for uses other than those listed in the medicine guide. Do not use PainDon-SP Tablet for symptoms for which it was not prescribed. Do not give PainDon-SP Tablet to others who may have similar symptoms as you. Self-medication can cause harm.

What to do if you overdose on PainDon-SP?

In the case of PainDon-SP overdose, activated charcoal is recommended to use and elimination of poisons from the stomach should be done possibly within the first one hour. PainDon-SP elimination from the body should be done by inducing vomiting and excessive urine production. Use of oral methionine or intravenous N-acetylcysteine after up to at least 48 hours shows beneficial effects in case of overdose. Complete monitoring of liver and functioning of kidneys should be done in patients especially for the first four hours following the overdose. For convulsions, diazepam should be given through veins.

Symptoms of an overdose of PainDon-SP

If you use too much of this medicine, it could lead to dangerous levels of the medicine in your body. In such cases, symptoms of an overdose may include:

Precautions while using PainDon-SP

Before you use PainDon-SP, tell your doctor of your medical and health history including the following:

• allergic reaction
• difficulty in breathing
• hives
• inflammation of the mucous membrane
• stomach and intestinal disorders (perforation, bleeding, ulcer)
• swelling of the lower layer of skin

Bronchial asthma leads to narrowing of the bronchi. Allergic reactions progress into difficulty in breathing, inflammation of the mucous membrane, swelling of the lower layer of skin, hives. Also, stomach and intestinal disorders lead to blood-related abnormalities and inflammation of the digestive tract.

Before you use PainDon-SP Tablet tell your doctor if you are allergic to it or its ingredients. Your doctor may prescribe an alternative medicine and update your medical records to record this information. Discuss with your doctor if you are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin, or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

• The use of PainDon-SP Tablet may change blood creatinine level. There is an increase in blood creatinine level.
• The use of this medicine may change the blood urea level. There is an increase in blood urea level.
• The use of Paindon SP Tablet may change liver enzyme. There is an increase in liver enzyme level.
• The use of this medicine may change blood phosphatase level. There is an increase in blood phosphatase level.
• The use of this medicine may change blood alkaline phosphatase level. There is an increase in blood alkaline phosphatase level.

Use when Pregnant

PainDon-SP Tablet is not safe for use in women who are pregnant. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you should discuss the impact on the fetus with your doctor before you start using this medicine. There are known risk of PainDon-SP causing blood vessel closure connected to the fetus and increased blood pressure in newborns. Using Paindol during the 28th week of pregnancy, cause decreased uterine contraction. Paindon can be used during the first 26 weeks of pregnancy or labor if its benefit to the mother justifies the risk to the baby. PainDon-SP belongs to the NSAID class of medicines. NSAIDs should not be taken after 29 weeks of pregnancy as these medicines may cause serious harm to the unborn baby.

If Breastfeeding

PainDon-SP Tablet is known to be safe for use in women who are breastfeeding. There are very limited studies available for Paindon in breastfeeding. Paindon has been shown to pass in breast milk. Therefore, it is not recommended during breastfeeding. But aceclofenac is used during breastfeeding if its possible benefit to the mother explains the possible risk to the baby.

Alcohol

Avoid drinking alcohol with PainDon-SP Consumption of alcohol may cause serious liver damage.

Dizziness

PainDon-SP Tablet can make you feel sleepy. Be careful, especially while driving, while using heavy machinery, or when doing any activity that needs you to be completely alert. The consumption of alcohol with Paindon can worsen the sleepiness.

Increase in Risk

This medicine may cause stomach bleeding. Regular use of tobacco or alcohol may increase the risk. Discuss with your doctor if you smoke and drink alcohol regularly. This medicine may increase your sensitivity to sunlight and make you prone to sunburn. If this happens, limit your time outdoors to prevent sunburn. Use a sunscreen and cover your skin.

Side-effects in Older Patients

Older patients may have a higher incidence of side-effects when using PainDon-SP Tablet. Elderly patients may see an increased risk of stomach bleeding, and rupturing of the wall of the stomach or intestine.

Side-effects in Children

Younger patients may have a higher incidence of side-effects with PainDon-SP Tablet. Younger patients may see an increased risk of serious liver damage. Long-term Use

The following side-effects may commonly occur when using PainDon-SP Tablet. If any of these side-effects worsen or last for a long time, you should consult with your doctor:

• diarrhea
• dizziness
• drowsiness
• increased liver enzymes
• indigestion

• nausea
